The College of Social and Human Sciences was established in 12. Pursuant to Decree: 12/246. Announced on: June 4, 2012, including the establishment of the University of Khenchela. The college includes training in the field of: humanities and social sciences. Over successive time periods since the year 12, the college has been qualified to train students in the graduation stage (first stage - Bachelor's -) in 05 different departments: the Department of Sociology, the Department of Psychology, the Department of Philosophy, the Department of History and the Department of Media and Communication. He is in the master’s degree program in 6 different specializations: urban sociology, organization and work sociology, clinical psychology, general philosophy, history of resistance and the national movement, and audiovisual specialization. In the postgraduate stage: The college was qualified to form several batches of doctoral students in many specializations in 03 departments: the Department of Sociology, the Department of History, and the Department of Philosophy. The total number of college students until the academic year 2023/2024 reached 1,441 male and female students, supervised by 104 male and female professors of various ranks and specializations, with a coaching ratio.

Our college is one of six colleges that make up the University of Khenchela, consisting of two departments: the Department of Social Sciences and the Department of Humanities. We guarantee training in 05 different departments, through which we strive for excellence and quality assurance in our educational and research services and in community service, so that our outputs are distinct and compatible with market requirements. Local and international on the one hand, and on the other hand, in order to contribute to achieving the university’s mission and vision, which is based primarily on achieving quality and excellence in the field of training, scientific research, and community service, with our keenness to have a strong and effective presence as a key party in the university’s relationship with its socio-economic surroundings, by linking Scientific and cultural cooperation and partnership relations with various institutions and sectors outside the university within the framework of a number of cooperation agreements signed by the university administration. Our most important challenges are to participate efficiently in assuming the university’s social responsibility in its three basic aspects: ensuring a high academic level for our students that enables them to easily engage in the labor market, whether through their ability to contribute to creating their own jobs, or obtaining suitable jobs in various sectors, a high level of research that makes its results Able to respond to the various needs of society and contribute to finding solutions to its various problems, in addition to contributing to the economic service of society through participation in comprehensive and sustainable development.
